Garden Gate an HDR Image

This is the garden gate at President James Madison’s estate, Montpelier, in Orange, VA. The high dynamic range (HDR) image is created through taking 9 different bracketed exposures in a row of the same scene, and then merging these images in HDR photo software. This image is for sale as an instant download in my Etsy shop for $5. My copyright mark is removed on the downloaded file. I love HDR photography, and can’t wait to do some more. Peace Hill Ruins on St. John, USVI

There is a beautiful island located in the middle of the Caribbean that is surrounded by brilliant blue waters, and filled with a lush landscape. If you have ever been to Saint John you know that you have experienced a rare beauty. It’s a simple trek up to the windmill ruins on top of Peace Hill, and the view is astounding. This photo is looking out one of the old windows of the windmill. Giving the scene beyond a unique framing.

Spring Freeze

As the buds started coming out on all the trees and the flowers were coming up we had a sudden ice storm that covered everything in a thick layer of ice. This is an ice covered Burning Bush Euonymus.
